Complaints — Ineedalawyerto.com

A Scottish solicitors’ practice, regulated by the Law Society of Scotland. Free to use. Our panel is not the whole Scottish profession, and you may instruct any solicitor you wish. Where we do not act for you ourselves we introduce you to a panel firm, and that firm may pay us a share of its fee.

About this service

make a complaint

If something has gone wrong, tell us. We would rather know.

Complaining about us

Write to us at info@ineedalawyerto.com, setting out what went wrong and what you would like done about it. We will acknowledge it within three working days and respond in full within twenty working days. If we cannot meet that, we will tell you why and when you will hear.

If we cannot resolve it

The Scottish Legal Complaints Commission is the independent gateway for complaints about Scottish solicitors, covering both service and conduct. It is free to use and independent of us and of the Law Society of Scotland. There are time limits for taking a complaint there, so do not delay.

Complaining about a firm we introduced you to

Complain to that firm directly in the first instance — every Scottish practice must have a procedure — and then, if unresolved, to the Commission.

Please also tell us. We will not take sides in your complaint, but a pattern of complaints affects whether a firm stays on our panel, and we cannot act on what we do not know.

The Scottish Legal Complaints Commission

Tell us what has happened.

Two minutes, no cost, and no obligation. We will pass your details to one of our member firms, who will be in touch. You decide whether to send anything at all.
