We are a Scottish solicitors’ practice. Where an enquiry is not work we do ourselves, we refer it on and share the fee. There is no subscription, no monthly charge and nothing payable on enquiries you decline.
How it works
An enquiry arrives through the site. We establish what kind of matter it is, where in Scotland the person is and whether it is urgent, and we carry out a preliminary assessment. Where it is work for you, we name your firm to the enquirer, obtain their agreement, and send you a structured handover.
You accept or decline. If you accept and the matter proceeds, we share the fee on the agreed basis. If you decline, nothing is payable and nothing is owed.
What you get
- A structured handover, not a transcriptContact details, category, the person’s objective in their own words, a short factual summary, urgency and any deadline volunteered, and the consent record.
- Routing within secondsBy email and text, timestamped, so response time is measurable from both ends.
- A non-poaching commitmentWe refer the case, not your client. Where you already act, we stay out of it.
- Monthly reportingVolume, category and outcome, so you can see what the arrangement is actually worth to you.
What we ask
- Attempt first contact within 24 hours during office hours, and sooner where an enquiry is flagged urgent.
- Tell us whether you accepted or declined, and broadly why.
- Disclose the arrangement to the client when you take them on, and record it in your terms of business.
- Do not approach the person about unrelated services without their agreement.
For your compliance partner
This is a referral between two regulated Scottish practices. Rule D9.2 prohibits sharing fees with an unqualified person; neither party to this arrangement is unqualified, and the rule expressly accommodates fee sharing with lawyers, including incorporated practices.
We ask that the arrangement is disclosed to the client at engagement, in line with the Society’s guidance, and we disclose it ourselves on the face of the website before any enquiry is sent. The basis of calculation is the same across the panel, so no firm pays more to receive more work and we have no financial reason to prefer one firm over another.
Who we are looking for
Firms that genuinely practise in the area they want to be listed under, that answer the telephone, and and that are content to be named to an enquirer before any details are passed on. Coverage is being built area by area, with Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee first.
