We do not publish the panel

You will not find a directory of firms on this site. We do not list them, we do not profile them and we do not rank them. That is deliberate. A published list invites you to compare firms on whatever we have happened to choose to show, and the things that are easy to publish are rarely the things that decide whether a solicitor is right for a particular problem.

One member firm, and they will be in touch

What matters is not that you can browse the panel in advance. It is that you know exactly who is receiving your information before it goes anywhere. When you send us an enquiry we pass it to one of our member firms, who will be in touch. Nothing is sent until you agree. If you would rather we did not send it, we do not send it.

You can check any Scottish solicitor yourself

Every firm we work with is on the roll kept by the Law Society of Scotland, and so is every other solicitor practising here. The roll is public, free and searchable, and it takes under a minute to confirm that a firm is what it says it is. We would encourage you to use it, whether the firm came from us or not.

How we are paid

The service costs you nothing. Where we introduce you to a panel firm, that firm may pay us a share of its fee. The payment comes from the firm, it does not increase what you pay, and it does not reduce any compensation you receive. Where the matter is one we would handle ourselves, we say so — and in that case we earn more than we would by passing it elsewhere. You are never obliged to use a firm we introduce you to.
